Sarbani Bhattacharjee the founder General Secretary of Pt.Sambhu Maharaj Cultural Organisation and Faculty of Aangikam. .she is the only daughter of her parents Sri Amalesh Bhattacharjee and Smt Alpana Bhattacharjee.With time she grew up and completely dedicated herself to dance. She did her schooling from Shish Bihar H/S School, Agartala; one of the best English Medium School of North-Eastern India .She started her dance at the age of six.She learnt her beginning of Kathak and Rabindra from Sri Uma Sankar Chakraborty of Agartala. From the very beginning she has shown her potential of becoming a successful kathak dancer. Her Footworks and Hastaks are really a symbol of her talent. She completed Graduation in Arts (B.A) .She is perusing Master Degree. Finally she took Kathak Dance as her profession. She performed in various states of India viz- Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Chennai,Vrindavana are to name a few and of course many performances in Agartala .She has the credit of performing duet with Pt.Rammohan Maharaj, her guru, in Jaipur, Hazaribagh , Lucknow, Agartala, Bangalore and many more places. Sarbani is under the guidance of Pt.Rammohan Maharaj,

• Sarbani received junior scholarship from C.C.R.T, New Delhi in 1996.
• She passed Visharad degree from Bhatkhande Sangit Vidyapith, Lucknow.
• Sarbani has been awarded the title of Nritya Visharad from Bhatkhande Sangit Vidyapith, Lucknow
• She passed Rabindra Visharad with distinction from Bangiya Sangeet Parishad, West Bengal
• She has been awarded the title of Sangeet Bivakar from Bangiya Sangeet Parishad, West Bengal
• Sarbani stood first in the Yuva Mahotsova in Tripura 1999.
• Sarbani got senior scholarship from M.H.R.D, New Delhi in 2002.
